BAMBOO MAGNETIC KNIFE HOLDER INSTALLATION GUIDE
 

To ensure the magnetic holder is securely mounted, safe to use, and aesthetically pleasing, please follow the instructions below.

Method 1: Adhesive Mounting (For glass, ceramic tiles, stone, metal, and surfaces that cannot be drilled)

Step 1. Determine the installation location

First, determine where you would like to install the magnetic holder.

Notes when choosing a location:
 

- The surface must be flat, solid, clean, and dry.
- Do not install on peeling surfaces, poorly adhered paint, or damp walls.
- The location should be convenient for accessing knives but out of reach of children.
- If installing above a kitchen countertop, ensure there is sufficient clearance between the countertop and the magnetic holder so the knives do not interfere with cleaning the countertop.
 

Example:
 

- If your longest knife has a blade length of 21 cm, the magnetic holder should be installed approximately 40 cm above the countertop. This distance allows you to clean the countertop easily without the knife tip getting in the way.

Step 2. Align the position

After determining the installation location:

- Clean the wall/glass surface thoroughly with IPA (Isopropyl Alcohol) or 70–90% rubbing alcohol, then allow it to dry completely.
- Also clean the back of the magnetic holder to remove any dust or oil residue.
 

Next:
 

- Use a spirit level or a Bubble Level application on your phone to level the holder.
 

- Once the holder is level, use a pencil or an erasable marker to draw a straight guideline for installation.
 

Step 3. Apply the adhesive tape and glue
 

On the back of the magnetic holder:

- Attach the 03 included 3M adhesive pads to the designated positions.

- Then use the included adhesive, apply it, and spread it evenly across the contact areas on the back of the holder.
 

Notes:
 

- The adhesive must be distributed evenly across all load-bearing areas.
- Do not apply the adhesive only in the center or at a single point.
- The 3M adhesive pads are used to hold the holder in place while the adhesive cures, while the adhesive itself serves as the primary load-bearing component once fully cured.

Step 4. Mount onto the wall
 

- Position the holder along the guideline you marked.
- Press firmly and evenly along the entire length of the holder for approximately 30–60 seconds to ensure both the adhesive pads and glue bond securely to the surface.

After installation:
 

- Do not hang knives immediately.
- Allow the adhesive to dry and cure for at least 24 hours before use to achieve maximum bonding strength.

Method 2: Screw Mounting (For walls or rough wooden surfaces)

If the surface can be drilled or screwed into, this is the most secure and durable installation method.
 

Step 1. Determine the location
 

Follow the same procedure as Step 1 and Step 2 of Method 1:

- Choose a suitable location.
- Use a spirit level or the Bubble Level application to ensure proper alignment.
- Mark the installation position with a guideline.

Step 2. Install the screws

- Drill 02 holes according to the spacing of the two mounting slots on the back of the holder (800 mm).
- Insert wall plugs if mounting on a wall.
- Tighten the screws, but do not drive them fully flush against the wall surface. Leave a small gap between the screw heads and the wall so the mounting slots on the back of the holder can hook onto them.

Step 3. Adjust the fit
 

Test-fit the magnetic holder.

- If the holder is secure and does not wobble, the installation is complete.
- If it feels slightly loose, remove the holder and tighten the screws a little more, then test-fit again.

Repeat this process until the holder is firmly secured while still being removable when necessary.

Safety Notes

- Only hang knives after the adhesive has fully cured (at least 24 hours) when using the adhesive mounting method.
- Do not hang heavy objects other than suitable knives or kitchen tools.
- When placing a knife on the magnetic holder, place the spine of the knife against the holder first, then slowly rotate the blade toward the holder to avoid chipping the edge.
- Always dry the knife blade completely before placing it on the magnetic holder to help prevent rust.
- If rust marks appear on the bamboo surface, clean them with a stainless steel scrub pad or fine sandpaper, following the grain of the wood.
- Periodically check the stability of the magnetic holder, especially during the initial period after installation.
- Install the magnetic holder out of reach of children. Knives are sharp tools and may cause serious injury if used or accessed improperly..
